Hearing the “Noise and Murk,” I found myself in my childhood memories of the forest near my home. To preserve this image, I began to collect it not as a landscape, but as a herbarium of sensations.
A spread where perfumes act as guides into a zone of sensory experience preceding the image, and graphic elements are the frequencies at which this state becomes visible, it`s aromatic ghost.
I placed moss and bark under the scanner glass, transforming their complex and voluminous surface into black-and-white graphics, which became the basis of the work. But I remembered that memory has not only a face, but also a breath.
I turned to perfumes to find the very emotions that connect me to that place. Each fragrance in the collection is a key that unlocks not just a memory, but an entire state of mind.
