Perfect Blue
by Anastasia Bychkova
Find me on:
The world around through the lens of visual noise and barriers. Observing blue objects in a country of perfect blue.
Process
In general, there are a lot of different small details "scattered" along the streets and alleys. And when we decided on the main color for our zine (blue), I realized that this was what we needed. My work is called “Perfect blue”, which is the name of an old Japanese anime. It seemed symbolic to me. The paintings were made in Japan, and the main color is blue.
My work is based on observations of the environment in Japan. Specifically in Tokyo and Kyoto. The Japanese are visual artists. They have everything in pictures, a lot of outdoor advertising, which generates visual noise.
